Introducing myself

My name is Oriol Miralbell. I thought I was a lazy man until one day I realized I was spending more time working than with my family and friends. Almost all the time of the day.

Today, work is a passion to me, but life is much more important. Especially if I can spend it with the people I love. Thus, I’ve decided to enjoy life.

I was born a few decades ago in Barcelona. My family and my friends are the most important people to me, and I like to increase this fabuluous network.

I like to read, I enjoy learning and I love music. My faavorite sports are skiing and swimming, though I live to do hiking in the country.

I’m lecturer and researcher at the CETT – Tourism Hospitality and Food Services Campus from the Universitat de Barcelona. I was director of the University School of Tourism and Hospitality Management at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, where I also lecture courses in tourism and communication. I have lectured at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya the first e-learning University in Spain. I am member of the the Hospitality Resaerch Group of CETT and of the  Research Group on Territorial Analysis and Tourism Studies (GRATET) from the Universitat Rovira i Virgili

My professional career (see my CV) has been related mainly to tourism and information sciences.

Here, you can see my publications and my current research projects.
